I recently wrote an article for a company called Neon who is working on the science behind thumbnails.

Neon builds on the perceptions and brain responses of everyday people watching video. We model how the brain perceives images and can predict which ones people will prefer.

This is something I’ve been thinking a lot more about as I post my own videos to different sites including my own.
